Christopher Coburn (he/him) is a multi-generational, non-Indigenous Montanan with a deep commitment to public service and equity. He made history as the first out, queer Black person elected to office in Montana when he was elected to the Bozeman City Commission.
Christopher is currently the Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Action Oregon and the Chief of External Affairs for Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. His career spans healthcare, public health, and politics. Before his current role, Christopher served as Vice President of Health Equity at Planned Parenthood of Montana, leading initiatives to center health equity in education, community outreach, and advocacy programs.
In addition to his work at Planned Parenthood, Christopher has held leadership roles at Bozeman Health and the Montana Public Health Institute, where he contributed to statewide public health plans and addressed substance use prevention and health disparities. He also led Montanans Securing Reproductive Rights (MSRR), playing a key role in securing reproductive rights in Montana through a successful ballot initiative that passed with 58% of the vote.
Christopher is passionate about healthcare access, progressive policy making, and advocacy. When he’s not working, you can find him enjoying a cocktail on a patio while planning his next vacation.
