Based in Idaho’s scenic state capital of Boise—the City of Trees—Pride Foundation’s work in Idaho is led by one full-time regional philanthropy officer who works closely with passionate and tireless volunteers and board members throughout the state, from Post Falls to Pocatello.

Idaho has no statewide protections for LGBTQ+ people, despite more than a decade of grassroots efforts to get the Republican-majority Legislature to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to Idaho’s Human Rights Act as protected classes. Despite oftentimes fierce pushback, thirteen cities have come together to adopt ordinances protecting LGBTQ+ residents from discrimination.

Pride Foundation is proud to partner with many organizations and local leaders across Idaho who share our vision of a world in which all LGBTQ+ youth, adults and families enjoy the freedom to live safely, openly, and genuinely.
