We’re proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 Community Grants, investing a total of $1,004,000 in 103 organizations working to strengthen LGBTQ+ communities across Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington!
This year’s awards continue our commitment to multi-year funding, providing sustained support to organizations over a three-year period. This year’s grants mark the third year of our 2024–2026 Community Grants cycle. By extending funding across multiple years, we aim to help organizations plan ahead, deepen their impact, and focus more of their time and energy on serving their communities rather than fundraising and reporting.
Since 2024, we’ve awarded over $3 million to 106 organizations through our Community Grants cycle in addition to $1.75 million distributed through the Fortitude Fund. Launched in 2025, the Fortitude Fund complements our Community Grants program by providing rapid, responsive funding to organizations facing urgent challenges in an increasingly hostile social and political landscape. It supports communities disproportionately affected by federal actions, state-level legislation, and the broader cultural shifts shaping the lives of LGBTQ+ people across the Northwest.
Since our founding, Pride Foundation has invested more than $70 million in grassroots organizations across the Northwest. Our funding priorities remain focused on uplifting LGBTQ+ organizations that are BIPOC-led, trans-led, and gender-expansive, as well as those working at the intersections of multiple identities and issues. We prioritize organizations that are filling critical gaps in support for LGBTQ+ communities, particularly where geography, capacity constraints, or systemic inequities limit access to affirming resources and services.
Through this funding, we continue to uphold our belief that those closest to the challenges are also closest to the solutions. Our grantees are leading work in every corner of our region, ensuring that LGBTQ+ people have access to affirming care, leadership development, housing resources, safety programs, and more. The reflections below offer just a small glimpse into the work happening across our region.
“Many Black and LGBTQIA+ organizers and support organizations have been forced to shut down or leave the state, unable to sustain their work under these conditions. This has left a dangerous service gap, leaving the most vulnerable individuals without access to critical resources, advocacy, and safe community spaces. [Our organization] has stepped in to ensure these essential programs continue, absorbing the workload of multiple defunct organizations and working to maintain continuity of care for those who rely on these services. This includes providing mutual aid, mental health support, housing assistance, and legal advocacy to ensure that displaced and underserved individuals are not left behind.”

“We plan to use this funding to continue providing direct outreach and urgent financial assistance to the most vulnerable people in our community. This includes unhoused sex workers who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, queer and trans people, people of color, non English speakers, veterans, refugees and youth. Because our programs are intentionally low barrier and built on trust, community members know they can come to us for immediate help. We provide direct financial aid and essential material items such as sleeping bags, tents, birth control and medical transportation. This funding will help us meet the surge of requests for emergency aid and basic resources at a time when other organizations facing cuts can no longer meet the need. It will also allow us to continue offering immigration related support and referrals, which are currently at capacity.”

“This funding is critical to address the increasing threats and risks we face, including death threats, doxxing, and repeated vandalism of our community space. It will enable us to enhance community safety measures, strengthen mental health and crisis response services, and rally rapid-response advocacy efforts to protect and support Black trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals. Additionally, it will help us continue our outreach, education, and organizing efforts during this heightened period of hostility and violence. Investing this amount now is vital for responding swiftly, protecting our community members, and sustaining our work toward liberation and safety in an increasingly hostile environment.”
