This scholarship was created by Scott Clyde for current or former students of NW Association of Educational Opportunity Programs (NAEOP-TRIO) for disadvantaged youth. An applicant need not identify as LGBTQ, but should demonstrate leadership in human rights, gender issues, and/or sexual minority rights.
Words from the Creator:
I established this scholarship because I wanted LGBTQ and allied students in my field of work to have a scholarship to reward them for their courage. The NAEOP-TRIO Scholarship also communicates to others that being out and an activist is not necessarily a barrier to professional success, but that it can be an enhancement.
Scott Clyde lives in Moscow, Idaho.
