Amy Allison Thompson is the new Executive Director of Missoula’s Poverello Center, which is a partner in Pride Foundation’s work addressing homelessness, particularly youth homelessness in rural Montana. Amy’s relationship with Pride Foundation began much earlier, as a grant review volunteer, as a donor, and as an incredible ally. As a social worker, she has worked with LGBTQ youth for many years in Great Falls, Montana. Amy is uniquely qualified for her position as she understands the disproportionate impact that LGBTQ youth face: experiencing bullying and victimization, substance use, attempted suicide, and isolation. This is also why she believes so passionately that collaborating with Pride Foundation will greatly improve the lives of young LGBTQ people in Montana and reduce their risk of ever experiencing homelessness.
