Prioritizing your health is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. That is why Pride Foundation has been dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community since 1985.

Why is it important to get health coverage? LGBTQ individuals face higher rates of uninsurance (1 in 3 lower-income LGBTQ Americans are uninsured), are more likely to experience chronic health problems, and often face discrimination in health care settings.

We have an opportunity to reverse that trend and ensure that everyone has access to the care they need to stay healthy. The deadline to enroll for health coverage this year is next Monday, March 31st. Click here to sign up today!

Here are a few important ways that the Affordable Care Act is helping remove barriers for the LGBTQ community:

  • Tax credits are available to help families and individuals afford the cost of insurance.
  • You can no longer be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition such as living with HIV/AIDS, or being a survivor of domestic violence.
  • Plans will cover a range of essential benefits such as doctor visits, hospitalizations, reproductive health, emergency-room care, and prescriptions. Plans are also required to cover certain preventative services with no cost.

Don’t delay – sign up for coverage today! Already covered? Help spread the word to your friends, family, and loved ones.

Questions about coverage options? Out2Enroll has answers. And here’s a guide for LGBTQ people choosing healthcare plans.

We hope you’ll join Pride Foundation to ensure that everyone in our community has access to health coverage that meets their needs.
