Marriage Stories
Marriage equality is a very hot topic across the U.S. There’s been a lot of great analysis since the wins in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington including:

Blogger Jessan Hutchison-Quillian shares his thoughts on charitable giving including what guides his giving and the resources he uses to make his choices.
This book is a fascinating looks at activism in rural Oregon around LGBTQ civil rights in a town referred to as Timbertown. It follows a failed statewide effort to pass a measure preempting civil rights protection for gays and lesbians, the conservative group Oregon Citizens Alliance advocated at the level of local politics across rural Oregon for similar amendments to local bylaws.

Books: Gifts of the Crow by John Marzluff and Tony Angell
Our Director of Grants Jeff Hedgepeth writes: I have always been fascinated by crows and was moved to read more because at this time of the year they gather by the thousands in late afternoon at the northern edge of the Arboretum next to I-520. I can’t imagine why they do this. I hope to find out in the book. They make a great riot of sound.
