Pride Foundation Grantee Idaho Safe Schools Coalition is awarding scholarships to attend the annual Activists Mobilizing for Power (AMP – formerly Community Strategic Training Initiative or CSTI).
The Idaho Safe Schools Coalition seeks to send folks to the conference at Reed College in Portland, Oregon July 27-29.
AMP is a unique three-day training and networking event for community-based leaders, staff, and volunteers of groups organizing for social justice in the west. Workshops run all day to provide an intensive experience in the subject you’ve chosen. Workshops are designed to be highly interactive and to provide hands on tools for your organization to use after you leave AMP. Participants represent a spectrum of experiences and backgrounds. They are diverse with respect to race, geography, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and skill level. Trainers–drawn from around the region and beyond–are incredibly knowledgeable.
Those interested in scholarships should please apply via this link.
Deadline for scholarship applications to the conference is 12 PM June 11.
You can register for the conference on the Western States Center’s website. Last year, Pride Foundation’s Regional Development Organizers as well as Pride Foundation volunteers attended the conference. You can read what folks from Alaska, Oregon, and Montana thought of their experiences via those links.
