Poni is a queer/trans/non-binary Washingtonian originally from Central Texas. Curious, creative, and caring by nature, Poni strives to authentically connect with others and make positive impacts wherever they are.
As Operations Manager, Poni stewards some of the fundamental pieces and processes that keep the organization functioning. Their background in care work built a foundation for their service-oriented approach. In the decade before joining Pride Foundation staff, Poni served their community in small organizations that uplift and empower LGBTQ+ individuals, including 5 years in nonprofit leadership.
Poni is a lifelong visual artist who enjoys various creative pursuits outside of their work with Pride Foundation. In their art as in all their work, Poni finds satisfaction in attending to details that are integral to the ‘bigger picture.’
Some of Poni’s other joyful activities include: traveling, cooking, learning new things, having deep conversations, solving puzzles, playing games with friends, marveling at the natural world, and reveling in cozy times at home with their partner and magical catbaby.
