Nancy is driven by a passion for making the world a better place, a belief in the power of people to create positive social change, and an understanding that how we treat one another in our work matters just as much as the outcome.

The daughter of immigrants from Bangladesh, Nancy has long been motivated to change the systems that shape economic opportunity. At age 14, she attended the March for Women’s Lives, an experience that deepened her understanding of reproductive justice. She began her career advancing economic justice, a lens that continues to inform her perspective and approach. She currently works in a senior leadership role focused on policy and programs, and has previously held roles centered on gender justice.

Prior to this work, Nancy served in executive and senior leadership roles within LGBTQ+ policy and advocacy organizations, as well as in roles focused on building political power. She has also worked in national organizing and labor-focused positions. She brings a deep commitment to policy change and civic engagement, and holds a master’s degree in public policy. She lives in Oregon with her son and many partially completed craft projects.

Favorite Quote: “…the very least you can do in you life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof. What I want is so simple I almost can’t say it: elementary kindness. Enough to eat, enough to go around. The possibility that kids might one day grow up to be neither the destroyer nor the destroyed.”- Barbara Kingsolver
