Josef is a sixth-generation Washingtonian whose career has focused on arts and human services nonprofit development and leadership. His work began with overnight shifts and grant writing and progressed into senior leadership roles within arts and cultural organizations. In 2016, he co-founded a holistic consulting practice serving culture- and community-building organizations, and later founded a professional services firm. He has taught philanthropic communications as a guest lecturer, served on numerous nonprofit and community boards, and led grassroots political activism. Josef lives in Washington and collects classical music and novels.
