Starting a fund is easy and it helps achieve your charitable goals. Pride Foundation offers a variety of funds to meet your needs and those of the community. You can endow any fund you create to ensure that the causes and people you care about will be funded for generations to come.
Funds Offered by Pride Foundation:
Donor Advised Funds
Pride Foundation’s donor-advised funds are a flexible way to give. You make one gift to your donor-advised fund at Pride Foundation, and then make recommendations on your own schedule for disbursements to organizations you care about. As an added benefit, organizations receiving grants from your fund must sign Pride Foundation’s non-discrimination policy ensuring that they treat everyone equally regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Scholarship Funds
Establish a scholarship fund to support the education of future LGBTQ+ and allied leaders. You can determine your scholarship’s criteria, and be involved in the scholarship review process. Many donors also volunteer on scholarship committees and enjoy hearing from the scholars about their life goals and experiences. Area-of-Interest Funds
An area-of-interest fund allows you to specify your interest—whether it is certain types of organizations, geographic regions, or the issue about which you’re most passionate. Then, you simply leave the grantmaking decisions to one of Pride Foundation’s community grantmaking committees.
Designated Funds
A designated fund is a wonderful way to support nonprofit organizations that you are strongly connected to. This type of fund is especially powerful if you want to release smaller organizations from the burdens of managing an endowment, or if you want to use a large gift to support more than one organization. You specify the organization(s) that will benefit from the fund.
