In early 2017, federal actions on immigration served as a catalyst to bring foundations in Oregon together to take action. The Collins Foundation, MRG Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, and the Oregon Community Foundation joined together to establish the Oregon Immigrant and Refugee Funders Collaborative (OIRFC).
This effort serves as a coordinated, collaborative, and nimble funding approach to address issues impacting immigrants and refugees in Oregon, and to support local organizations responding to these issues.
Pride Foundation was invited to join this collaborative in early 2018. Supporting LGBTQ immigrants and refugees, and the systems and issues that uniquely impact them, is a key priority of Pride Foundation, and we are glad to deepen this work as part of this collaborative.
