Scholarship Review

With more than 60 different scholarships, Pride Foundation’s Scholarship Program is open to all students who meet Pride Foundation’s fundamental criteria of LGBTQ+ students in the Northwest.

Each year, a team of dedicated Pride Foundation volunteers throughout the Northwest review more than 800 scholarship applications. The scholarship review cycle takes place in January through April and volunteers are instrumental in all aspects of the review process.

We divide our review into two phases and volunteers can choose to be a part of one, or both of them. Phase 1 runs January through February, and Phase 2 runs March through April. The total time commitment for each phase is about 25 hours spread throughout the review period. Volunteering as a reviewer includes a commitment to:

  • Attend a virtual volunteer training and mid-phase check-in meeting
  • Review approximately 20 applications online, according to program guidelines
  • Committing to upholding our volunteer agreements
