Ways to Give - Estate Gifts and Bequests
Why?
Estate planning is a powerful way to express your values and to care for your partner, family, and community. All of us should make plans for our estates, but such plans are especially important for LGBT people, whose lives and loves are not fully recognized by society. With proper planning, you can make sure your wishes are fulfilled, possibly lower your estate tax, and also create powerful change.
How?
There are many ways to be charitable through your estate. Some of the easiest ways are to name Pride Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, retirement plan or life insurance. Other ways to give, such as charitable remainder trusts, can give you income in your lifetime.

Leaving a bequest in your will
One of the simplest things you can do is leave money, also known as a bequest, to organizations you care about via your will. You can also download suggested language for leaving a bequest in your will here . Because your will is a legal document you should consult an attorney.
